SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. (April 5, 2002) Publisher Larry Young announced

today that his publishing house, AiT/Planet Lar, will now distribute

Mike Brennan's Eisner-nominated ELECTRIC GIRL.

"Brennan's been a pal of mine for a while," said Young, "and I've loved

his work on ELECTRIC GIRL forever. With all of the uncertainty going on

now with graphic novel distribution, I'm happy to bring Mike into the

AiT family. I'd hate to see ELECTRIC GIRL get lost in the shuffle. It'll

make an excellent accompaniment to COLONIA and our other books in the

"We have plans to release new ELECTRIC GIRL volumes like clockwork,"

said AiT/Planet Lar publisher Mimi Rosenheim. "Instead of a single issue

versus a straight-to-trade model, we are going to release a hybrid

format; that of a 56 page square-bound book, three or four times a year.

further adventures of Virginia, Oogleeoog, and Blammo on a regular

schedule, while giving Mike the opportunity to concentrate on doing what

he loves."

"It's always been an uphill battle publishing your own comic. The events

of the past several days have dramatically underscored that," said

Brennan. "Meanwhile, I've watched with envy over the past couple of

years as Larry and Mimi have enjoyed great success with AiT/Planet Lar.

I look forward to seeing ELECTRIC GIRL getting the special treatment

that they give every graphic novel that they publish."
