The gang in the Bullpen has just learned that the Entertainment Industries

Council, Inc. has announced the nominations for the 6th Annual PRISM Awards

-- and for the third year in a row, mighty Marvel is up for the coveted

Crystal Commendation!

The 6th Annual PRISM Awards, which is presented in partnership with The

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institute on Drug

Abuse/National Institutes of Health, is the entertainment industry's annual

awards honoring the accurate depiction of drug, alcohol and tobacco use and

addiction in movies, television, video music, interactive and comic book

entertainment. Fifty-six nominees were selected from among a total of 236


For "Comic Book Issue or Multi-Issue Storyline," the nominees -- which are

all Marvel titles -- include ALIAS #1, IRON MAN (vol. 1) #39 - #40, and

X-FORCE #116 - #120. Nominees from other categories include Blow by New Line

Cinema, The West Wing by Warner Brothers, NYPD Blue by ABC, Dateline by NBC

and CNN Presents.

The awards will be presented on May 9th, 2002 at CBS Television City and the

telecast will be distributed throughout the United States by Tribune

Entertainment. The Entertainment Industries Council, Inc. is a non-profit
