Official Press Release

Love and Capes, the "heroically super" situation comedy comic book by Thom Zahler, is gaining fans faster than a speeding... well, you know. Now, by popular demand, comes the new Love and Capes T-Shirts. Available exclusively through the Love and Capes web site (www.loveandcapes.com) and soon at select specialty retailers nationwide.

These high quality, 100% cotton t-shirts come in two limited edition versions. The classic black shirt features an iconic illustration of Love and Capes' Mark and Abby and will only be available on line and at specialty retailers for $20.00 each. Consumer orders must be placed by June 21st for shipping in early August. All online orders receive free shipping, a custom sketch card by Thom Zahler and a 50% off discount coupon for future orders from the Maerkle Press Store. Fans attending Comic-Con International in San Diego will have the option of picking up their shirts at the Love and Capes booth, rather than having them shipped.

Speaking of Comic-Con, the exclusive red "comic-con" version shirt features the same art on the front as the black shirt, with the Love and Capes website emblazoned on the back. These shirts are only $5.00, with a portion of the proceeds going to The Hero Initiative, an organization that is trying to ensure a comfortable retirement for comic book creators. Pre-order by June 21st to get the exact size you need, then pick up your shirt at the Love and Capes booth during Comic-Con International, July 26th through 29th in San Diego. Not going to be in San Diego and still really want one? For $10.00, you can get the con-exclusive red shirt shipped to you in early August. For the tragically undecided, you can take a "gamble" and stop by the booth for the chance to get a shirt in exchange for a donation to The Hero Initiative. Quantities and sizes will be very limited.

For more info, including full color photos of real live models wearing the actual shirts, and the opportunity to order your very own, visit: www.loveandcapes.com. Look for Love and Capes #5 in this months PREVIEWS (Page 322, order code JUN073740), arriving in comic book stores this August.
