In what could have been the shortest panel in Comic-con history, the US Postal Service unveiled a new series of stamps based on Marvel heroes, complete with Marvel president Dan Buckley in attendance. After a rendition of the national anthem by a Postal Service employee, the panel ran for approximately fifteen minutes, speaking to a near capacity crowd (many of whom admitted they were there early for another panel) before showing the images that will be flying through post offices worldwide.
The heroes chosen to take part in this were Spider-Man, Spider-Woman, The Thing, The Hulk, Elektra, Wolverine, The Silver Surfer, Iron Man, Sub-Mariner and Captain America. The stamps both feature iconic single images and classic covers considered germane to the characters.
