X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

USA Today published a new production still from the spin-off, as well as words from actor Hugh Jackman himself, who said Sabretooth "is going to play a big part in it. And there will be a good bit of cameos ... But you can't give too much away, because fans are pretty hard-core. Their expectations go up a level every time you come out with a new film."

HEROES

According to Comingsoon.net, NBC co-chair Ben Silverman said, "We will be saving and re-launching our #1 drama and most successful franchise, 'Heroes,' so that it will run in all original episodes in the fourth quarter."

JUSTICE LEAGUE: NEW FRONTIER

Actress Brooke Shields is the subject of a feature at Comics2Film talking about being Carol Ferris ... even if only in an animated form. "There's nothing silly about animation to me," Shields said. "I'm always impressed with the artists and the technology. It's also really nice to be behind the scenes, but still be an actress. The characters themselves precede you, but you're still right with them, supporting them. There's a wonderful thing that happens when you have the cans (headphones) on and there's time and place to sort of infuse these characters. I wish the animation process was done in reverse -- it was such a different experience to record to picture versus just recording without the visual reference. I didn't really know who she was as much without the picture. When we were initially recording it, before the animation, sometimes it felt flat. We worked on modulations, but I was not as clear on her character -- I think I needed the picture in my head for it to take on a life onto its own. When we recorded to the animation, that made it much clearer.""

VENOM

The rumor is that the toothy anti-hero is getting his own movie. "Spider-Man 3" effects supervisor Remington Scott was asked about a "Venom" movie by IESB and he responded, "Wait, you know about that?"

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Moviehole is reporting "that a 2010 start date, rather than mid-2008, is now being eyed. Apparently much of the cast have gone and booked themselves up this year, but more importantly, the studio has realised the film isn't ready to roll."

IRON MAN

Comics2Film has some new images from the metal-minded Marvel movie.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION

We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and [tagline awaiting new draft from WGA writers just back from the strike].
