Official Press Release

Boston, MA – The high seas adventures of Captain Bloodbath Barty,

Spider Tom, and the rest of their crew debut on Komikwerks.com today,

in "Pieces of Eight", a rollicking new comic that follows dastardly

pirates as they seek out shiny rewards!

Writer/creator Jeffrey Marvin and artist Ian Glaubinger tell the

spirited tale of the Captains Anger, a ship whose crew seek cursed

treasure, storm the Governor's quarters, and ransack the Queens'

troops - nothing will stop these pirates of fortune!

"'Pieces of Eight' is a great comic – first of all, who doesn't love

pirates?" comments Patrick Coyle, co-founder of Komikwerks. "Secondly,

Jeffrey and Ian tell their story with such verve, energy and high

spirits that it's just a lot of fun to read. That's why we started

Komikwerks – to deliver well told, fun comics to readers around the

globe."

"Jeff and I are extremely honored to be welcomed to the Komikwerks

family. We have been long time fans of their work and what they do for

the industry. We feel our brand of 'animated' adventure comics will

fit right in here and all of the future issues to come."

"Pieces of Eight" launched this week on Komikwerks.com, and will update weekly.
