The NY Daily News reported this morning that superhero Barry Allen - the former Flash who died saving the DC Universe more than twenty years ago in “Crisis On Infinite Earths” - is confirmed to be resurrected by writers Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns in "DC Universe" #0, on sale now.

"When the greatest evil comes back to the DC Universe, the greatest hero needed to return,” Geoff Johns told the Daily News, doubtlessly referring to DC’s much anticipated “Final Crisis” event title, which is said to depict the DC Universe in the wake of Evil’s victory over Good.

The Daily News identifies Johns as “co-writer of the new Flash comics,” apparently indicating the writer is set to co-author a new Flash title.

Now discuss this story in CBR's DC Comics forum.
