Press Release

Image Comics has announced that Diamond has completely sold out of GI JOE #11 by Josh Blaylock, Kevin Sharpe and John Larter. GI JOE #11 follows GI JOE: FRONTLINE #1 as the second JOE title to sell out within the space of a month. GI JOE #11 arrived in stores on October 23.

"Despite reports to the contrary, GI JOE continues to sell extremely well for us," said Image Director of Marketing Eric Stephenson. "It's

consistently one of our most-reordered titles, and I think Kevin Sharpe's debut and the beginning of a new storyline gave this issue an extra push."

In addition to the rapid sales of recent issues of GI JOE, Stephenson also pointed out that the second printing of GI JOE #1 was Diamond's top reordered title in late September, underscoring the continued demand for the title's first issue even after a sold-out collected edition (GI JOE: MIA #1) and a heavily ordered trade paperback (GI JOE, VOL. I: REINSTATED).

"I've said it before and I'll say it again: GI JOE has a loyal following that continues to support these books," added Devil's Due's Josh Blaylock. "I think a lot of people have underestimated the staying power of these books and the number of reorders we're getting are confirming that on an issue-by-issue basis."
