SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has the official studio announcement about the departure of actor Michael Rosenbaum from the hit CW series (and discussing what sorts of villains will replace him), as well as the thank you letter Rosenbaum wrote to the fans. They also have fresh spoilers about cast negotiations for season eight and screen captures from the promo for next week's episode, "Quest."

HANCOCK

There's a new trailer in QuickTime and Flash, and the official web site has been updated with photos, downloads, a new look and more.

IRON MAN

Who live blogged the premiere last night? CBR News, that's who. It includes a look at the armor. We also have a feature article on actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

Entertainment Tonight claims that "Sumner Redstone, Executive chairman, Viacom Inc. and CBS Corp. and Brad Grey, CEO Paramount Pictures, tell ET that if the movie does as well as expected, the studio is looking to release a follow-up in 2010." IESB agrees.

Finally, in case you're not in the mood to stick around after the credits, here's the spoiler footage everybody's talking about.

BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT

Creative legend Alan Burnett is the subject of a feature article at Comics2Film, discussing Deadshot's appearance in the animated film.

THE DARK KNIGHT

Speaking of history and Gotham City, a fan put together an interesting video showing how the current trailer could be seen as an homage to the 1989 Michael Keaton-fueled film.

HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY

Director Guillermo del Toro talked to CBR News about the sequel.

SPEED RACER

Actor Matthew Fox talked to Comingsoon.net about being Racer X. I have kids and I haven't done anything that I would feel comfortable for them really watching. I went and did some research on the original source material, and I had definitely seen those images, I recognized those images, I recognized them, they were familiar to me but I don't think I'd really seen an episode, so I went out and got a bunch of those and watched a bunch of episodes and got a feel for what made that series in the 1960s so catchy. And then the script, Larry and Andy wrote a script that I thought was just absolutely amazing, just all those elements. It was really the only project that I wanted to be... I was looking at a few things last spring, but the minute I met with Larry and Andy and started going down the Racer X route, and 'Speed Racer,' I didn't want to do anything else. And I pretty much said, 'If I don't get this role, I'm not going to work this hiatus.'"

IGN has a featurette on the title character.

THAT'S A WRAP

We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Warner Brothers?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and "trust is the biggest liability of all."
