Official Press Release

One of comics' most eclectic artist, Mark Beachum, returns with an all-new fourteen-page adventure in the second issue of Heroic Publishing's LIBERTY COMICS. "Menace of the Leopard God" is a period piece written by Steve Perrin, set in Chicago in the year 1947, and features the savage Tigress in battle against the legendary Golden Warrior.

LIBERTY COMICS #2 also features Chapter One of "The Origin of Giant," a twelve-page adventure by Dennis Mallonee and Chris Marrinan, plus a bonus three-page Liberty Girl featurette by Nat Gertler and Rusty Haller.

LIBERTY COMICS #2 and many other Heroic Publishing titles are being made available in electronic format well in advance of publication. The electronic edition of LIBERTY COMICS #2 is available exclusively from Wowio.com, and can be downloaded free at http://www.wowio.com/users/product.asp?BookId=4666.

Mark Beachum fans should note that his contribution to LIBERTY COMICS #2 is just the first of several projects he's working on with Heroic Publishing, including several FLARE adventures scheduled both for her comic book and for her weekly newspaper strip, plus the upcoming FANTASTIC GIRL series.

The FLARE newspaper strip is distributed by Publishing Group of America, and is provided to newspapers as part of Publishing Group of America's Hometown Content. More information about the FLARE newspaper strip can be found at http://www.hometowncontent.com/hc/cat.aspx?id_cat=FL
