Effective immediately, Drawn & Quarterly is pleased to announce the hiring of Kit Malo as the company's Director of Operations, it was announced by Chris Oliveros, EIC and Publisher. Malo will oversee all operations of the D+Q retail, event and workshop space at 211 Bernard Ouest, Montreal; expanding the venue's relationship with the public and publishing communities-at-large while directing its electronic and creative infrastructures.

"With a BFA, contacts within Montreal's creative community from time spent as a volunteer at the artist-run centres Articule and SKOL, a bookkeeping background, and most importantly, a love for comics, Kit is the natural candidate to take 211 Bernard Ouest into its second year with the public," said Oliveros.

Malo was formerly a bookkeeper for the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy at Concordia University and the Quebec Public Interest Research Group at McGill University and holds a BFA in Film Animation from Concordia.
