Official Press Release

With the recent announcement of the new series Phantom: The Ghost Who Walks debuting soon, Moonstone Books wants to give YOU a chance to be a part of Phantom history. The first issue of the new series will come with three covers, one by legendary Phantom comic strip artist Sy Barry, the second from comic industry icon Joe Jusko and the third by YOU.

That's right; Moonstone Books is calling for submissions from anyone and everyone who fancies themselves a cover artist. Simply submit a completed cover to Moonstone Books via email to contact_us@moonstonebooks.com or post a link on the Moonstone Forums. It's that easy.

One talented winner will have his or her creation used as the third cover for the upcoming Phantom: The Ghost Who Walks #1!

Three runners-up will have their work appear inside the issue, in a bonus cover gallery.

It doesn't matter if you're an industry veteran or an unpublished aspiring artist; the work will be judged on qualities such as originality, composition, artistic skill, familiarity with the character and "curb appeal". You want your cover to stand out on a shelf full of all the other wonderful comics that come out that same week, so go big, deliver the goods and may the best artist win! All submissions must be received no later than September 5th, 2008.

Remember, when creating cover art, you must leave the top third of the piece open for the logos and other cover dress.
