A story in the New York Daily News has legendary actress Julie Newmar saying that Angelina Jolie's shopping around for a tight black suit. "My industry friends tell me [she] has made inquiries about the role," Newmar said. "I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman's one true love. She's tremendously popular with women because she's both a heroine and a villainess. "When you look at the staggering box office of this current film, which actress wouldn't want to jump in?"

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN
If it's misinformation, then IDW is in on the gag -- the publisher told MTV about the sequel's main antagonist. "[We're going to] explore the background of The Fallen -- the main villain of the movie -- as well as expand on the 'Reign of Starscream' story that we're doing and tie everything in to what this next movie is going to be," said writer Chris Mowry. "The next movie starts out with just tons of action and there's obviously going to be a lot of questions, so we're hoping to answer some of those beforehand."
MTV also talked to screenwriter David Goyer who revealed some of the inmates of the super prison. "The Tattoo Man is in there which seemed like a no brainer if you're doing a movie about a super prison -- having a character with super tattoos," Goyer said. "Amanda Waller's in there as well from the Suicide Squad. Those are probably the two I like the most, absent Green Arrow." There's also a note about another famous DCU villain -- the Joker. "His name is a throwaway. He's on a cell," Goyer said. "You don't actually see him, just his name on a cell. It's a real Easter Egg. That's one cross-pollination we would stay away from [doing more with]."
Actor Samuel L. Jackson also talked to MTV about doing more as the SHIELD agent. "Yeah, I'm looking forward to making that character a bit more integral, in terms of the other stories that are happening," Jackson said. "I'd rather go to work than wait three years and be in 'The Avengers.' I'm looking forward to going to work soon."
THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS?
IMDB quotes actor Aaron Eckhart, who said that he'd leap at a sequel. Eckhart said, "To work with Christian (Bale) all over again, and the cast, would be phenomenal. I think this movie is a movie of a lifetime."

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD
Speaking of animated adventures, Toon Zone has an interview with story editor Michael Jelenic and producers James Tucker and Linda M. Steiner. Tucker said, "Pragmatically, there's a new movie coming out, and because the movie is going in a certain direction, consumer products needs something that's a little more child friendly and a cartoon show filled the bill. The only thing that hasn't been done with Batman has been 'Brave and the Bold.' I think you're going to get the darkest Batman you've ever seen in 'The Dark Knight' movie, so this show is designed to appeal to the entry-level Batman fans -- which are kids, whether we like it or not. It's broad-based entertainment, but you need a cartoon that generates some toys, and 'Dark Knight' is definitely skewed older. That's the pragmatic reality of it."

What's the deal with new character Tess Mercer? Executive producers Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin were interviewed by Kryptonsite talking about it. "She's brand new from scratch, but she's a nod to both Tessmacher, hence Tess, and then her last name Mercer, which is a nod to Mercy from the comic books," Swimmer said. "So she's neither Tessmacher nor Mercy; we're taking a little bit of both, but the storyline and who she is and where she came from and where she's going, that's all completely new."
Meanwhile, Kryptonsite also has fresh spoilers about the season's fifth episode.
