HEROES

There's a few more possibly spoilery production stills at Herosite.  A new press release also has some spoilers in it.

PUNISHER: WAR ZONE

Comic Book Movie is rumormongering that director Lexi Alexander has parted ways with the production.  "Reports hit Monday that Lionsgate took Lexi off the project all-together, and her usually prolific web site has been completely wiped clean except for a pic of the monkeys from 'See no Evil,' 'Hear no Evil,' 'Speak no Evil,' which in turn caused the entertainment news media to blow up the story -- making it seem as though Lexi has no more influence on the movie."  Hm.

2 GUNS

A story in the Hollywood Reporter noted that Universal Pictures has picked up the rights to graphic novel from Boom! Studios.  Marc Platt will produce the crime thriller via his Marc Platt Productions along with Boom! co-founders Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie, the third pairing of the trio.

THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS

According to the Daily Telegraph, the producers are planning on having Johnny Depp play the Riddler and "Capote" actor Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

WATCHMEN

CBR News received from Warner Bros. high resolution versions of the new "Watchmen" posters seen last weekend at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

Have you seen the new photos from Empire Magazine? Well, they're all at Comic Book Movie.

As well, actresses Carla Gugino and Malin Ackerman are quoted at Sci Fi Wire talking about taking on roles in each other's lives. "We probably had about three weeks to sort of just hang out together and get to know each other, and we definitely just got along right away," Ackerman said. "Like [Gugino] said, we have a lot of similarities in our lives and in our families that sort of brought us even closer. So we could relate these characters to things that have happened in our lives and sharing those with each other so that we knew when we were doing our scenes where that was coming from."

WOLF MAN

CBR News has a special report on the Benicio del Toro fueled horror remake.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA

CBR News covered the Comic-Con panel.

TRUE BLOOD

... as well as the vampire themed series on HBO ...

FILM VISIONARIES

... as well as catching a chat between Kevin Smith ("Zack and Miri Make a Porno"), Frank Miller ("The Spirit"), Judd Apatow ("Knocked Up") and Zach Snyder ("Watchmen").

THAT'S A WRAP

We can't do this without you.  The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods.  The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Warner Brothers?"  The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them.  The devoted, the involved.  Fans, just like you.  Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter.  Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and even The Hundred and Four is out for the weekend.
