Mid-Ohio-Con announced today that the legendary writer Chris Claremont has been named Guest of Honor at Mid-Ohio-Con 2008. Claremont will join an all-star roster of creative guests from world of comics, films, and television, including fellow guests of honor Alan Davis and Joe Kubert, special media guests Jason Mewes and Lou Ferrigno, and many other featured guests.

“We’re thrilled and honored that Chris has accepted our invitation for Mid-Ohio-Con 2008,” said Bill Henry, Creative Director of Mid-Ohio-Con. “With such an influential body of work, it’s hard to overstate Claremont’s contribution to comics overall and the X-Men in particular"not to mention his influence on the love that my brother and I share for the medium.”

“Mid-Ohio-Con is now just two months away, and with our new show dates, great programming schedule, and incredible roster of guests, we are seeing a strong response from retailers, publishers, and other exhibitors,” said James Henry, Managing Director of Mid-Ohio-Con.
