Bluewater launches new manga line

Bluewater who is known for such titles as 10th Muse and Legend of Isis will be launching a new manga line of comics based on some the their flagship titles.

Waterbury will be starting the line in November. The book is described as: Living in the town of Waterbury in an aging inn wasn’t Audrey’s dream. It was her husband’s. But now her husband is dead, and Audrey is the only one who thinks it wasn’t an accident. She's also the only one who thinks the scarecrows scattered throughout the town have been moving. What’s really going on in Waterbury? Audrey’s about to find out.

Legend of Isis will be making its way in early 2008 along with the 10th Muse. Both will have new and updated looks. The new series will be in traditional manga style. The 10th Muse and Legend of Isis have both been optioned for feature films. The 10th Muse launched in 2001 as the 6th highest selling comic based on Diamond charts.

Other new manga titles will be “Dead End Boys” and “Queen of Hearts” based on the characters from Alice in Wonderland.

Bluewater is working with some of the top manga artists in the industry. Bryan Golden has taken on the helm of doing the redesigns of the characters. The specific art teams will be announced in a couple months. “I have been a fan of action adventure manga for a long time. “Battle Angel Alita” is one of my personal favorites, so we decided to launch a new and exciting line of titles though this manga line” said Darren G. Davis, publisher of Bluewater Productions.

Ryan Burton who is the writer on “Dead End Boys” said “I am really excited that Bluewater is expanding it’s horizons in this area. I think there is a lot to be done here and just have begun to test the limits”.

After the 4 issues of each comic book comes out in color, Bluewater will be releasing a trade paperback in black and white. The single-issue comics will be the only place you can find the colored versions of the titles.
