The venerable founder of Dark Horse, Mike Richardson stopped by the CBR Yacht at Comic-Con International in San Diego to chat with CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland about all things Dark Horse. Richardson discusses the publisher's humble DIY origins, its slow climb to powerful Hollywood player, the sometimes enormous sales bumps Dark Horse sees from film projects like "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" and "300," and Richardson's own return to comics creation with a continuation of his and Randy Stradley's "Star Wars: Crimson Empire."

Now discuss this story in CBR's Independents forum.
