DC reveals talent line-up on 'JSA: All Stars'

Starting in May, a stunning array of writers and artists takes on the original super-team in JSA: ALL-STARS. Combining tales of modern-day heroes and their Golden Age counterparts, this 8-issue miniseries spins out of one of the DC Universe's hottest titles and examines the very nature of heroism.

Now, as the solicitation for JSA: ALL-STARS #1 reaches retailers in the March issue of Previews (Volume XIII #3), DC announces the full roster of writers and artists contributing to this extraordinary miniseries:

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #1 features a full-length, 22-page story starring the entire JSA, written by David S. Goyer & Geoff Johns, with art by Sal Velluto & Bob Almond.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #2 spotlights Hawkgirl in a 16-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Phil Winslade. The 6-page backup story stars the Golden Age Hawkman and Hawkgirl and is written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #3 spotlights Dr. Fate in a 16-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Barry Kitson. The 6-page backup story stars the Golden Age Dr. Fate and is written and illustrated by Darwyn Cooke.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #4 spotlights Stargirl in a 16-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Mike McKone & Wayne Faucher. The 8-page backup story stars the Golden Age Starman and is written by James Robinson with art by Tony Harris.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #5 spotlights Hourman in a 16-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Adam DeKraker & Prentis Rollins. The 6-page backup story stars the Golden Age Hourman and is written and illustrated by Howard Chaykin.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #6 spotlights Doctor Mid-Nite in a 16-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Stephen Sadowski. The 6-page backup story stars the Golden Age Dr. Mid-Nite and is written by Brian Azzarello with art by Eduardo Risso.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #7: spotlights Mister Terrific in a 14-page lead story written by Goyer & Johns, with art by Dave Ross & Anibal Rodriguez. The 16-page backup story stars the Golden Age Mister Terrific and is written by Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Michael Chabon (The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay) with art by Michael Lark.

  • JSA: ALL-STARS #8 brings the entire team back together for a 22-page finale written by Goyer & Johns with art by Velluto & Almond.

JSA: ALL-STARS #1 is solicited in the March issue of Previews (Volume XIII #3) and is scheduled to be in stores on May 7.
