The second story arc from the critically acclaimed VERTIGO monthly FABLES will be collected this July in the new trade paperback FABLES: ANIMAL FARM.

The title will include the stories from FABLES #6-10, written by Bill Willingham with art by Mark Buckingham and Steve Leialoha, along with the original painted covers by James Jean. The bis topped off with a new cover by Jean, and also includes a special sketchbook section featuring art by Willingham, Buckingham and Jean.

ANIMAL FARM takes readers to upstate New York, where the non-human Fable refugees have settled on a large farm, secured by magic from outside view. Unfortunately, all is not well at the Farm, as rabble-rousing radicals have staged an uprising bent on forcing an armed return to the Homelands - and Snow White and Rose Red have stumbled upon the conspiracy at just the wrong time.

"How could you possibly not want to own this book? It's got a bunny with guns on the cover!" says Willingham. "Can funnybooks get any better than that? I don't think so. Without fear of hyperbole, I'd have to say FABLES: ANIMAL FARM is the best use of paper since those infinite monkeys started typing up the complete works of Shakespeare."
