TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

TF08.net has a first look at the new figure for Sideswipe. Mmm, racy.

Meanwhile, Superhero Hype has a better look at that new poster, which you can also see on the updated official website.

Directed by Michael Bay, release date June 26, 2009.

WATCHMEN

According to CBR's new Robot6 blog, settlement talks have been said to be "productive" by lawyers for both Fox and Warner Bros. who asked Judge Gary Feess to delay the January 20th trial.

This is after some pretty pointed statements by the producers on Friday.

Release date: March 6, 2009. Maybe.

SIN CITY 2

An article at Sci Fi Wire notes that studio honcho Harvey Weinstein anxiously awaits the script, so he can rake in some more of that sweet comic book movie money. "I hope he's about to finish a script," Weinstein said. "We're certainly going to do 'Sin City 2' eventually, so I'm sure that's coming up."

How convenient that actress Jaime King confirmed to Mania.com that director Frank Miller has in fact completed the new script. "I was with him the other night," she said. "He just finished it. Sometimes studios are awesome because they have a great vision for something, but then they want to do weird things with the second one. Robert [Rodriguez] didn't want to go down that route ... none of the filmmakers or the actors were willing to sacrifice doing it any other way other than what we wanted to do it. I'm hoping we'll do it sometime this year. But you know how movies are."

No release date announced

G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA

Sci Fi Wire also noted that actor Brendan Fraser has a cameo in the movie. "I was there for a morning," Fraser said. "Let me get something straight. I'm not Gung Ho. I don't know what you've read, but that is not the name of my character. If you look him up, with all due respect, he looks like a refugee from the Village People, and, no, I did not attire myself as such. I will tell you that they gave me a really cool motorcycle to ride. It's a sight gag. I show up, and you're supposed to go, 'Hey!'"

Release date August 7, 2009.

HEROES

We got an email from Ryan Gibson Stewart, who pointed out this interview with Adam Armus and Kay Foster, the writers of the "Destiny" webisodes.

Next episode, February 23, 2009, "Cold Wars."

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD

Voice actor Tom Kenny gave a spoilery interview to World's Finest, talking about playing Plastic Man. "I understand Plastic Man. He’s a bad guy that was almost killed in a botched robbery attempt and has a change of heart. The epiphany leads him to work with the good guys. His character is a little screwy but he’s got more going on than a lot of superheroes. The way I justify his zaniness is that he was at Death’s door and 'bounced back.' He decides to embrace life and as a result, he has this joy at being alive. It’s something that the grimmer superheroes simply lack."

Meanwhile, Comicon Pulse interviewed "Drew Carey Show" veteran Diedrich Bader about getting into the cowl. "I think the real challenge is the tone of the show," he said. "It's lighter than the other Batmans. The challenge is not to betray people's feelings about who Batman really is -- the character they really, truly love; while honoring the script and the show we've decided to pursue. That's the real challenge: Batman has so many fans. We're taking this in a different direction. It's not the 'Dark Knight,' it's Batman. I think that it's OK with a lot of fans, some fans are really digging it. I really hope people can embrace a different side of the Batman."

Next episode, January 16, 2009, "Dawn of the Dead Man."

IRON MAN 2

More about costumed billionaires? All right -- Sci Fi Wire confirms that actor Paul Bettany will be back to voice the computer Jarvis, and noted forgetting that he'd done the role until reminded.

Directed by Jon Favreau, release date May 7, 2010.

SMALLVILLE

Kryptonsite has screen captures from the upcoming new episode.

Next episode: January 15, 2009, "Legion."
