SLEEPER

Creator Ed Brubaker told Sci Fi Wire that he's happy to stay out of the filmmaking process. "I've talked to the producers a lot, but, you know, [if] Tom Cruise is going to star in this thing, I've got comics to write," Brubaker said. "I would love it if they make it, and I want to go visit and everything. I can't imagine on that level working with like Tom Cruise and Sam Raimi. I think I would actually feel daunted, and I'd prefer not to feel daunted. Plus, I know that movie's going to cost $100 million. Even if I wrote a draft, I'll be better off letting them hire a bunch of other writers and then send me scripts to fix."

No release date announced.

HUMAN TARGET

Sci Fi Wire also noted that Fox has ordered a pilot for the Vertigo/DC property, the second incarnation of the property.

No casting information announced.

IRON MAN 2

How cheap is Marvel? According to this article at Variety, the studio made "a lowball opening offer of $250,000" for actor Mickey Rourke to play the central antagonist in the sequel. Fun fact, the original made $582 million at the worldwide box office, plus DVD sales. Just sayin' ...

Directed by Jon Favreau, release date May 7, 2010.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

How about some more heavy metal? There's a new Decepticon on the road, which one is he? Go on, take a closer look. Mmm, luxurious.
