It's official -- Marvel has announced that the web-spinning Broadway musical has a new title and a debut date. "Mark your calendars now, thwippers, 'Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark' opens on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Broadway's Hilton Theatre, 213 West 42nd Street. And some lucky Broadway goers will get to see the show when preview performances begin Saturday, January 16, 2010 ... The principal creative and design team for 'Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark' includes Daniel Ezralow, Choreographer ('Across the Universe,' 'The Green Bird'); George Tsypin, Sets ('The Magic Flute,' 'The Little Mermaid'); Eiko Ishioka, Costumes (Academy Award for 'Bram Stoker's Dracula,' Tony Award nomination for 'M. Butterfly,' the opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics); Donald Holder, Lighting (Tony Awards for 'The Lion King,' 'South Pacific'); Jonathan Deans, Sound ('Fosse,' The Beatles 'LOVE' by Cirque du Soleil, 'Young Frankenstein,' 'Ragtime'); and Teese Gohl, Musical Supervisor ('Across the Universe,' 'Frida')."

GREEN LANTERN/JONAH HEX
A report from Erc Boxoffice notes that the studio has set release dates for the DC comics adaptations. "Warner Bros. announced the official release date for Green Lantern: December 17, 2010 ... Director Jimmy Hayward ('Horton Hears a Who!') saddles up 'Jonah Hex' -- a western based on the DC comic book character -- which rides into theatres 8/6/10. Josh Brolin is set for the title role, while John Malkovich will co-star."

A surprising rumor from Batman-On-Film claims that "Watchmen" helmer Zack Snyder is being groomed to take over if Christopher Nolan stops after three films ... or doesn't come back for the third at all.

IRON MAN 2
There are casting notices for the sequel popping up at Corona Coming Attractions and Spoiler TV, looking for actors to play Mongolian gangsters, Russian guards (who speak fluent Russian), a French waiter, technicians of various ethnicities in their 20s, a Caucasian actor in his late 40's to mid 50's who is "handsome, intelligent and dynamic," as well as a "hot brunette" who is Caucasian, "beautiful, sexy and authoritative" and between the ages of 25-28.
