PUNISHER: WAR ZONE CONTEST

GREEN LANTERN

IESB reports that Chris Pine, who plays Captain Kirk in the upcoming J.J. Abrams Star Trek film, is favored for the role of Hal Jordan in Warner Bros' “Green Lantern” film. Latino Review is saying that Pine has already been offered the part.

Green Lantern is scheduled for release on December 17, 2010.

R-RATED HEROES

According to IESB, Warner's future superhero/tentpole films will be rated PG-13 rather than R, following the underperformance of “Watchmen” after its opening weekend. “Dark Knight,” another WB film, was rated PG-13, as was “Iron Man.”

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

X-Men Origins: Wolverine opens May 1.

STAR TREK

The “Star Trek” world premiere event will take place in Sydney, Australia, in the Sydney Opera House's Concert Hall, according to IGN. This will be the third time a film has launched at the venue, and the first time one has debuted in the concert hall.

Star Trek opens May 8.

LOST

The LA Times has a video interview with Evangeline Lily and Matthew Fox on the impending end of “Lost.”
