The co-writer of DC Comics' "Booster Gold" and studio executive for 20th Century Fox's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Jeff Katz talks to CBR TV about both of those auspicious projects as well as his mysterious new business venture that seeks to evolve the relationship between comic books and film.
In this exclusive and extremely candid on-camera interview filmed at New York Comic Con, Katz discusses with CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland his long friendship and family history with "Booster Gold" co-writer Geoff Johns and their process for writing the hit DC Comics series. Katz also delves into the mythology of Wildstorm and Dynamite's much anticipated "Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash," a project he originated as a film, and one that he describes as the "Justice League of Horror." Naturally, the writer-executive also details his three months on-set in Australia, overseeing the production of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," working with star Hugh Jackman and producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Richard Donner. And finally, Katz provides further hints as to his next business venture, one that addresses the fact that comic books drive much of today's entertainment content, and one that will introduce what Katz calls a truly "brand new" business model.
