THOR

The rumor from IGN is that "Sons of Anarchy" actor Charlie Hunnam screen tested for the title role.

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, release date: May 20, 2011.

HEROES

According to Ad Age, next season there will be fewer episodes to go around.  The site reported, "The network is considering running 18 to 20 episodes of the series in the 2008-2009 season, those people said, down from 25 this season."

CBR News also has video clips from the season finale.

Next episode: "An Invisible Thread," April 27, 2009.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

According to Variety, the Mirage Group, which owns the property, is moving forward with a live-action film focusing on the origins of the iconic crime fighters.  Thanks to Tristan Jones for the heads up on that one.

Release date: 2011.

IRON MAN 2

A story in the Hollywood Reporter notes that actor Clark Gregg has returned for the sequel as SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson, and actress Kate Mara has joined the cast in an unspecified role.

Directed by Jon Favreau, release date: May 7, 2010.

SIN CITY 2

Speaking of sequels, Hollywood Reporter also claims that producers are being shopped the project, while the Weinstein Company stands by its claim that they're still on board.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, no release date announced.

KICK-ASS

There's a new photo of actress Chloe Moretz in character as Hit Girl.

No release date announced.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

Sci Fi Wire has video interviews with supporting actors Isabel Lucas and Ramon Rodriguez.

Directed by Michael Bay, release date: June 24, 2009.

DEAD OF THE NIGHT

The production blog for the film has the first photo from the set of the film.  Development executive Dan Forcey wrote there, "This was actually taken on an iPhone at about 3am, at Canal and Rampart (a pretty rough area of New Orleans, especially at 3am).  The furniture pad on the hood is to protect the car, as there was a stuntman riding on it a few minutes earlier.  The guy in the photo is Mike Massa, a very talented and accomplished stuntman who doubled Brandon back on 'Superman Returns'.  He's not in his full costume here (he happened to have the jacket off here), but he's doing his best 'Dylan Stance' anyway."

Release date: 2010.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

Apparently, yet another new clip is available on Facebook.

Directed by Gavin Hood, release date: May 1, 2009.

X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO

Producer Lauren Shuler Donner told Sci Fi Wire that a lot has been done on the film already.  "We have a great script. Honestly, we have all been just so focused on getting 'Wolverine' out that we didn't take the time to sit down and explore 'What are the movies we're going to do next within the genre?' We will do that. We will do that. We all want to. 'Magneto' is a fantastic script, and hopefully we'll make it. I don't know."

No release date announced.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Another day, another set photo from director Edgar Wright.

Starring Michael Cera and Brandon Routh, release date: 2010.
