The Art of illustration, an all ages, all skill levels open competition will take place between May 8th and June 3rd, 2009. The Show , hosted by the Holly Springs Arts Council, will feature hand created art work from both Amateurs and Professional artists. Judging this years "Art of Illustration" will be Jamal Igle. Jamal is currently the artist for DC Comics "Supergirl." An industry veteran, Igle, a former art instructor has served on the Juries for the Scholastic National Art Contest two years in a row. Entrants may register for either the Amateur class ($10.00) or Professional class ($20.00), Free for all HSAC members. Anyone can enter and you can find information for mail in entries on our website. The entry fee is due when the art is submitted. Limit of 5 entries per artists- Prizes will be awarded for tops in each class as well as selected prizes for best use of media, Fan favorite, Judges favorite.

All art must be submitted on or before May 4th. Due to space consideration please no framed works larger then 24x36.

There will be an opening night reception on Friday May 8th, 2009
