BOOM! Studios' "Irredeemable" Headlines FCBD in Italy

BOOM! Studios announced today that Mark Waid's break-out hit series IRREDEEMABLE will headline Free Comic Book Day in Italy. Italians fans will be able to get a special edition of IRREDEEMABLE #1 free at participating comic shops in Italy during this comic industry worldwide event.

Series is published by Italycomics, who is organizing the Italian edition of Free Comic Book Day, and have made IRREDEEMABLE the headliner.

Event will see thousands of editions of IRREDEEMABLE #1 translated into Italian for an Italian-speaking audience.

BOOM! Studios just launched the Italian-language edition of BOOM! Magazine with Italycomics, featuring BOOM!'s IRREDEEMABLE, HERO SQUARED, PLANETARY BRIGADE, and CAPED, all being serialized in an anthology-styled periodical.

The reception for IRREDEEMABLE has been strong, with the first issue instantly selling out and going into a second printing. The second issue of the series will be in North American direct market stores on May 6th.
