DEADPOOL

According to the Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox is developing a spin off featuring the merc-with-a-mouth and starring Ryan Reynolds.  Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers.  The project is currently out to writers.

No release date announced.

GREEN LANTERN

We got an email from HitFix about their article rumoring that "Alias" actor Bradley Cooper is the front runner to slip on the ring as Hal Jordan.  

Release date: December 10, 2010.

WANTED 2

Screenwriter Chris Morgan told MTV that despite rumors, he's still involved with the project.  "I'm actually still involved with 'Wanted,'" Morgan said.  "We knew we wanted to do 'Wanted 2,' so we started developing a take and came up with a story that's pretty good and develops the characters.  But in the process of developing it, I also had commitments to 'Gears of War' and the samurai movie I'm doing at Universal."

No release date announced.

THOR/CAPTAIN AMERICA

Marvel reported their first quarter earnings (with quotes and results at Superhero Hype) and offered updated progress on their film features.  As for "Thor," no formal offers have been made to actors, though they said that casting announcements are likely the next few months.  "The First Avenger: Captain America" will start filming in the summer of 2010.  

Release dates: May 20, 2011 and July 22, 2011.

There's a new video showcasing the show floating around the web.

SIN CITY 2

Director Robert Rodriguez talked to IGN about the possibility of a sequel.  "I actually had a phone call with some of the players in it today, but I was on a plane so I missed it," he said. "So next week we're going to talk about it some more and get a timing on when we'd be doing it. But there's a lot of people who are interested in it ... We are definitely going to do that one."

No release date announced.

IRON MAN 2

Actor Sam Rockwell gave some slight spoilers to MTV playing about Justin Hammer.

Director Edgar Wright has posted two new photos from the set.

As if anyone would be surprised after the opening weekend ($163 million thus far), Variety is reporting that work is proceeding on a samurai-sensed sequel.
