THOR

Director Kenneth Branagh told MTV that he's very close to announcing his thunder god. "We're down to the final stages of it," Branagh said. "The reason one has to be properly diplomatic, is simply that some talented peopled have been patient, kind, creative and really committed to working with us in this process. My reluctance to say anything about it is simply out of respect for people who have been extremely respectful of us. That said, I think we are extremely close and I hope to announce a decision sooner rather than later."

GRAYSKULL

According to the Hollywood Reporter, newcomer Evan Daugherty has been hired to redraft Justin Marks' screenplay for the property.

THE SECRET

Variety is reporting that Universal Pictures and Dark Horse Comics are bringing Mike Richardson's graphic novel to the silver screen. Richardson will produce with Stuber, and this same team is working on adapting "Umbrella Academy."

YOUNGBLOOD

MTV talked to Rob Liefeld about spoilers and the writers on the project, J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani, who are also writing another film project based on one of Liefeld's creations, the Bryan Singer-produced "Capeshooters." "They were the guys everyone wanted for 'Capeshooters' at 11 AM at Warner Bros a year ago, and then at 3 PM, I met with Brett [Ratner] and his producing partner, and Brett says, 'I know exactly who we have to get to write this: Lavin and Damiani,'" said Liefeld.
