According to Variety, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth is being considered to play the title role in director Kenneth Branagh's "Thor" adaptation.
Hemsworth stars in MGM's upcoming "Cabin In The Woods" and has also been cast in the studio's remake of "Red Dawn" as Patrick Swayze's Jed Eckert. He came to prominence as Kim Hyde in the series "Home and Away" and played George Kirk in the blockbuster "Star Trek."
