THOR

Nuke the Fridge is reporting actress Jessica Biel is in talks to appear as a love interest for the God of Thunder in the forthcoming Marvel film. There's just one small problem. They cannot pin down exactly who she is going to play. The site claims, "Our source was not sure of the character's name, but seemed to believe it was the same female character from the animated 'Hulk vs Thor.' If that is the case, since 'Jane Foster' [a past love of Thor/Donald Blake] was not in the animated movie, Biel is more than likely playing either 'Amora, The Enchantress' or 'Sif.'"

Directed by Kenneth Branagh. release date: May 20, 2011

JONAH HEX

Justin Grey, co-writer of DC's current "Jonah Hex" series spoke with Elizabeth Rappe over at Cinematical about the film. In particular, he singles out Josh Brolin, the man playing Hex. "He was very happy to sit and talk with Jimmy Palmiotti and I about the role, his portrayal and overall feeling of the film. He was loving the role and you could see it pouring out of him during takes," Gray says. "The approach they're taking is exactly right, straight western with a style that breaks from the perception that a western should be slow moving."

Starring John Malkovich, Megan Fox, release date: August 6, 2010

THE GREEN HORNET

Sony is shuffling its summer 2010 release dates around. As a consequence, "The Green Hornet," staring Seth Rogan will now be released on July 9, 2010

IRON MAN 2

Nuke the Fridge strikes again with major plot details of the film. As I am still working out a spoiler rating system, let's call this a brown star. Proceed at your own risk as the information you learn could be true. One detail I will share with you from Nuke the Fridge's source concerns Mickey Rouke's scene last Wednesday. "He had to do an evil walk," the source says.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: August 6, 2010

SMALLVILLE

Michael Ausiello over at Entertainment Weekly has a few tidbits on the upcoming season nine. The show will explore the core of Oliver Queen, "He has sacrificed things and done things that haunt him ... It's bad stuff. We need to get to the bottom of it," actor Justin Hartley tells Ausiello.

New episodes begin September 29, 2009

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

If you don't look at this picture from the set of Edgar Wright's new movie, the Vegan Police might come a-calling in their SmartCar.

Starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans, release date: 2010

THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA

Comics scribe Ed Brubaker talked to MTV Splashpage about being in the film's brain trust, similiar to the group of comic writers assembled during "Iron Man's" development. "I think the talk has been that I'll be part of that brain trust along with Bendis and a few other people," Brubaker said. While not official, Brubaker's willingness to talk about it would put his involvement in the "likely" column.

WHISPERS IN THE DARK

Good info does not fall from the sky. Okay, except for that one time. However, information is important to us. Hiding under a development executive's desk? Found a sketch of Thor's cape? Let us know! Tips are always welcome and anonymity is always granted upon request. Oven fresh rumors posted each weekday morning. I'm Erik Amaya considering the future threat of endless reruns of "The Streets of San Francisco," a Quinn Martin Production.
