KICK-ASS

Slashfilm has two photos from the upcoming film. One reveals actor Aaron Johnson in costume, but out of mask. The other features comic creators Mark Millar and John Romita Jr. The site also mentions John Romita Jr. will appear at the Kick-Ass panel at Comic-Con.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, release date: TBA

100 BULLETS

Creator Brian Azzarello teases MTV Splashpage with the possibility of a television series or movie? "That's all I'll say. Television ... or maybe something that's not just TV," he quickly said.

Release date: not for sometime, if ever

ANT MAN

MTV Splashpage also translates a report from omelete.com in which Edgar Wright reveals he is still quite interested in making a feature on the beleaguered and often name-challenged scientist. He completed work on the first draft before "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" built steam. "I'm very happy with the first draft and we need to get back into business," he tells Omelete.

Release date: TBA

DEAD OF NIGHT

Australian website Inside Film spoke with producer Gilbert Adler about the film. He mentions the film will utilize a number of different special and visual effects techniques. "But we won't be using any fully CGI creatures because that kind of effect is used too much in the world of commercials and I think it is more than a turn off than an enhancement to the movie. You really have to make sure the quality is there in all areas to make it feel like its real. Once the audience does not feel like it's real, it all over," says Adler.

Release date: 2010

HEROES

A trailer for the new "Heroes" volume, "Redemption" will be screened at Comic-Con, according to Digital Spy. They also report the trailer screening and Q&A session will take place at a nearby hotel instead of inside the San Diego Convention Center.

New episodes begin September 21, 2009

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

More concert shots from director Edgar Wright. As a special bonus, we also have videos. One takes on a tour of the dwellings of Ramona Flowers and Knives Chau. The other, well it ... um ... see it for yourself.

Starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans, release date: 2010

ANSWERS A PRISON

We want information. We will get it, by hook or by crook. However, why make life so difficult when you can help? Got a hot tip, a set photo, or a costume piece you'd like to sell? Let us know! Want anonymity? You got it! Want a clever nickname? It's yours. Farm fresh rumors posted each weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya ignoring the future threat of the "T.J. Hooker" film.
