HEROES

Collider has a preview for the upcoming fourth season of NBC's drama:

New episodes begin: September 21st, 2010

IRON MAN 2

More Iron Man Hype Machine this morning as MTV Splash Page reports director John Favreau is contemplating the use of both IMAX and 3-D technologies for next summer's sequel.

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date: May 7, 2010

WANTED 2

Director Timur Bekmambetov tells IESB he is ready to shoot the sequel. "We want to be ready to shoot in a few months," he tells them. James McAvoy will reprise his role and Bekmambetov makes reference to "waking up" Angelina Joile's character.

Release date: TBA

JONAH HEX

Collider also has a round-up of video interviews with Josh Brolin, cast and crew of next summer's Western based on the classic DC Character.

Starring Josh Brolin, release date June 18th, 2010

THE FIRST AVENGER: CAPTAIN AMERICA

According to MTV Splash Page, actor John Barrowmen of "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood" fame would very much like to play Cap. "You know what I want to play? Captain America," he told the Comic-Con crowd. With even a first draft of a script still some time away, Barrowman could put the feelers out, but a hopeful actor is far from an announcement. Meanwhile, over at the LA Times Hero Complex Blog, Geoff Boucher and "Human Target" star Mark Valley discuss the possibility of taking on the suit.

Directed by Joe Johnston, release date: July 22nd, 2011

GIVE ME LIBERTY

It sounds like a game of telephone. Digital Spy reports artist Dave Gibbons told them, "I know a great favourite of Frank Miller's is Rosario Dawson, who was in Sin City and has been in some other things." Miller's slate has been too full to seriously develop a film version, but Gibbons says both men would like to introduce the character of Martha Washington to movie audiences.

Release date: TBA

DEATH: THE HIGH COST OF LIVING

In an interview with Collider, author Neil Gaiman is not too hopefull about making a feature film "I don't know that it's dead right now, but it's definitely lying in a coffin with a lilly on its chest," says Gaiman. Of course, he goes on to say anything is possible. "I was quite sure in 2002 that Beowulf was not just dead but absolutely gone and dead forever in then in 2004, Bob Zemeckis suddenly resurrected it."

Release date: July of Never?

PLANET HULK

I saw this trailer last week at the Marvel Animation panel. Now, the Movie Rambler (via Comics2Film) has posted it for all to see. I'm looking foward to this one:

On DVD/Blu-Ray: February 2010

G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA

Early reviews are coming in and the word is, "not bad." Devin Farci at CHUD says it "manages to almost perfectly replicate the experience you had as a pre-teen playing with your action figures in the back yard." George Roush at Latino Review says "I'm so jealous of you little bastards who get to see this through the eyes of a child. You are going to love it." While they do have problems with the film, the tone is better than expected. Of course, there is the standard caution: "This isn't 'The Bourne Identity,' this isn't 'The Hurt Locker,' this is G.I. Joe. It's over the top, it's got crazy action, but it works," writes Roush. The reviews are, of course, littered with massive supernova spoilers, so read at your own risk.

Starring Marlon Wayans, Ray Park, release date: August 8, 2009

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Director Edgar Wright shows us the bitchin' FX crew t-shirts in our daily set pic. Also, Comics2Film linked over to this article at The Playlist about Beck's involvement in the film's music.

Starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans, release date: 2010
