WOLVERINE 2

Hugh Jackman let slip at the Teen Choice Awards that Wolverine would be headed to Japan in the next film. MTV Splash Page caught up with him for clarification. Jackman's comments would indicate the intention is to adapt the initial Claremont/Miller "Wolverine" miniseries:

Release date: TBA

JONAH HEX

Sci Fi Wire caught up with Michael Fassbender, who plays the tattooed Burke in the film. He told them about his process in assembling the henchman: "I put on this three-piece suit, and then I was going through hats, and I just put on a bowler hat, and I was like, that reminds me of "Clockwork Orange," and that reminds me of Frank Gorshin's Riddler. So that would be my physicality -- I wanted to try and make him quite angular and quite rakish."

Directed by Jimmy Hayward, release date: June 18th, 2010

KICK-ASS

Risky Biz Blog (via Superhero Hype) is claiming several studios -- Lionsgate, Paramount and Universal -- are looking to distribute the film, once seeing the positive reaction at Comic-Con.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, release date: TBA

HEROES

We have the season four preview here at CBR.

New episodes begin: September 21st, 2009

IRON MAN 2

MTV Splash Page spoke with Don Cheadle about his character Rhodes and his appearance as War Machine in next summer's sequel:

Starring Robert Downey Jr., release date May 7th, 2010

COWBOYS AND ALIENS

According to Sci Fi Wire, prolific screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci has turned in their draft of the long gestating graphic novel adaptation. "We're waiting to hear from the principals. We try not to turn it in until we think it's ready. Obviously, there are always things you can improve," says Orci.

Release date: 2011

SUROGATES

In case you missed it, CBR has a featurette on the real-life robotic advancements depicted in a more fantastic light in the upcoming film.

Starring Bruce Willis, release date: November 23rd, 2009

G.I. JOE 2

Only a few days into the release of "The Rise of Cobra," there is already talk of sequel. According to the LA Times, Paramount's vice chairman Rob Moore expects sequel development to begin soon. "The film's lead actors are contractually obligated to return for another film, though director Stephen Sommers is not," says the LA Times.

Starring Marlon Wayans, Ray Park, release date: TBA

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

For once, I'm not entirely sure what is going on in today's set pic from the blog of director Edgar Wright. We have a crowd, assistant directors, a sandbag and Rover from "The Prisoner." Taking a stab, let's say they're shooting crowd shots for one of the airborne fights in the film.

Starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans, release date: 2010

SIGNS AND PORTENTS

Have you seen clandestine capes shooting a major action scene down the road? Is your brother in the costume department of "Iron Man 2?" Have you ever seen a spook, specter, or ghost? Let us know! We are ready to believe you! Tips are always welcome and anonymity is upon request. Market fresh rumors posted each weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya facing the future threat of a page-one rewrite.
