WOLVERINE 2

Hugh Jackman tells MTV Splash Page a little bit more about the plan for the sequel and suggests a release date. Well, a release year, anyway.

Release date: 2012?

WONDER WOMAN

CineFOOLS (via Superhero Hype) spoke with writer Matthew Jennison, who worked on the most recent draft of the film. "I want it to be a ride. It should be a lot of fun in a world taken seriously. There should be breathtaking action sequences alongside character beats that allow the audience to relate to this Amazon princess, and moments where they get to laugh but not because it's campy. People have described the spec [script] as 'Wonder Woman' meets 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.' I think that's a pretty good tone. However it ends up, I hope it will be seriously fun," he tells CineFOOLS.

Release date: TBA

WHITEOUT

We have pictures from the film, starring Kate Beckinsale as U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko:

Directed by Dominic Sena, release date: September 11th, 2009

WALKING DEAD

As reported earlier here at CBR, "Walking Dead" will be coming to television on AMC, with Frank Darabont attached in a number of capacties.

Directed by Frank Darabont., release date: TBA

IRON FIST

Comics Aliance (via MTV Splash Page) reports actor Ray Park would still very much like to play Danny Rand. "I want to have an excuse to take my top off and show off my abs. Or, take my top off and work to get my abs back that I used to have when I was 19," says the actor. Park also believes Marvel -- now having the rights back -- will develop a "Heroes for Hire" film.

Release date: TBA

SUPER MAX

MTV Splash Page talked with writer/producer David S. Goyer about the status of the film -- which would pit Green Arrow and several DC villains against an elaborate prison. "It's definitely something we're developing." says Goyer. Of course, it is still early days for the project with "Green Lantern" being Warner Bros' emerald focus for the moment.

Release date: TBA

HEROES

According to the Hollywood Reporter (via IESB), actor Ernie Hudson has joined the cast a Baltimore cop. They do not say if he will be superpowered or a Ghostbuster.

New episodes begin: September 21st, 2009

ASTRO BOY

MSN (via Collider) has the trailer for the film.

Directed by David Bowers, release date: October 23rd, 2009

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

All I know, when the movie comes out, they better make a t-shirt like the one in today's set pic from the blog of director Edgar Wright available. In fact, there is about a dozen other t-shits from the film that should be available.

Starring Michael Cera and Chris Evans, release date: 2010

W IS FOR WEDNESDAY

So many projects with Ws in their title should be an omen of some type. An omen that says you might find out the next big thing about these projects. Hiding under a development executive's desk? Found a sketch of Thor's cape? Let us know! Tips are always welcome and anonymity is upon request. Fresh rumors posted each weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya readying for the future threat of zombies
