Moviehole has an interview with the film's female lead, Radha Mitchell. "It's great to be able to change your costume in one story, and have these two different identities, but what I guess the story really gets at is the abstraction of social interaction and I guess also the obsession with perfection," says Mitchell.

MTV News gets the low-down on the film's status from Top Cow president Matt Hawkins. Frequent "Battlestar Galactica" director Michael Rymer is attached to direct, but a script is still required. "We banged out a three-page document that says here's the basic story idea we want to do," Hawkins says. However, a script that balances everything they want to accomplish has not yet been found.

Mania.com's Kurt Amacker has written an interesting post-mortem on the film. He notes the graphic novel belongs to a mature drama genre the studios have pretty much left to die, while the comics medium has actually embraced those sorts of stories. "Movies have largely fled to the genre ghetto where comics once dwelled -- and taking superheroes with them," says Amacker.
Starring Kate Beckinsale, release date: out now.
