Jeffrey Spokes' retailer incentive cover for "Incorruptible" #1

This weekend, Boom! Studios Editor-In-Chief Mark Waid will take on an immense challenge – Saturday, October 3rd, 2009 at 1:00 PM, Waid will host a panel at Long Beach Comic Con moderated by CBR’s Jonah Weiland titled “50 Questions in 50 Minutes with Mark Waid.” Here’s the great part – you don’t have to even be there to participate!

We’re asking our readers to post their questions for Mark in this thread on the CBR Forums (Mark promises not to take a peek), which Boom!’s Marketing Director Chip Mosher will comb through and choose the best 50 questions for the panel on Saturday. We need your questions no later than Noon on Friday!

What should you ask? Anything you like! You can ask Mark about his series “Irredeemable” and “The Unknown” for Boom! Ask him what it’s like bossing creators around as the Editor-in-Chief . Ask him what it’s like to be part of the writing team on Marvel’s “Amazing Spider-Man.” You can ask him about past series or even future series that might not have been announced yet.

“Uhh, CBR, duh, how can we ask a question about a series that hasn’t been announced yet?”

Oh, don’t worry, we’re going to help you out there. As you’ll see below, Mark’s adding another title to his already growing list of Boom! Studios books: “Incorruptible!”

So, let’s have some fun folks – get all the details on “Incorruptible” below, then post your questions to the official thread. Who knows, your question might just the be the that derails the entire panel!

The Flip Side To This Year's Break-Out Smash Hit IRREDEEMABLE. A New Ongoing Series That Asks The Question: What Happens When A Villain Becomes A Hero?

September 30th, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA - Last April BOOM! Studios showed the world that "Mark Waid Is Evil" with the smash hit series IRREDEEMABLE. Now Mark Waid isŠ INCORRUPTIBLE. A new ongoing series launching this December, INCORRUPTIBLE asks the question: What Happens When A Villain Becomes A Hero? Written by Mark Waid and sporting sensational interior art by hot newcomer Neil Edwards (SQUADRON SUPREME) INCORRUPTIBLE features covers by John Cassaday (ASTONISHING X-MEN) and Tim Sale (BATMAN: LONG HALLOWEEN).

INCORRUPTIBLE showcases super villain Max Damage, who had an epiphany the day The Plutonian destroyed Sky City. That day, when The Plutonian turned his back on humanity, Max Damage decided to step up. Now Max Damage has changed his name to Max Daring and turned from his formerly selfish ways to become... INCORRUPTIBLE. The flip side to this year's break-out smash hit IRREDEEMABLE, examining the hard, difficult road to changing your ways and making a difference in the world...

"While you don't need to be reading IRREDEEMABLE to enjoy this new series, INCORRUPTIBLE continues that complex study of caped morality at the end of the world," says Managing Editor, Matt Gagnon. "Readers will be shown a shockingly different perspective of The Plutionian's world, where a super-villain, pushed by an insurmountable force, dares to be INCORRUPTIBLE. "
