THE FLASH

IGN talked with "Dark Knight" producer Charles Roven. Asked about the status of the film, he told them he was off the project. "Warner Bros. came to me and said, 'The work that you've been doing hasn't yet resulted in something that any of us, including the filmmaking team, feel could be greenlit as a movie.'" He also said he understood their motivation, but hopes to find his way back to the property. This is not necessarily a bad thing for the project, nor is the film scrapped. New guidance may find an approach to the material everyone involved can agree upon.

Release date: TBA

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

MTV News spoke with actress Anna Kendrick about her role as Stacey Pilgrim in the film:

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: 2010

WONDER WOMAN

Comic Book Movie has an interesting story regarding the film: a star, writers, and a director. According to their report, Beyonce is in talks to star in the film, with a script from Stuart Beattie and David Elliot, the writers of "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and "Max Payne's" John Moore set to direct. "She said she has to meet up with the writers and directors in a couple months and things will start to pick up by mid-2010 for a late 2011 release," according to the article. None of these people are listed as being involved in the film and a quick search reveals no other references to them being attached. Like "The Flash," the studio reportedly asked for control of the project recently after being in Joel Silver's development stable for ten years. All of this is far from confirmed, but it would be the most movement in a long time if any of it pans out. Of course, the whole thing could easily be Internet wishful thinking.

Release date: TBA

G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA

Latino Review (complete with press release) and various other sites are reporting the home video release of the film is set for November 3rd of this year.

Directed by Stephen Sommers, on DVD/Blu-Ray: November 3rd, 2009

TRON LEGACY

Star Olivia Wilde tells MTV News Daft Punk, the group scoring the film, appear in the film. Of course, she will not reveal what the appearance will be except to say "They were in the movie."

Starring Jeff Bridges, release date: December 17th, 2010

MONOPOLY

Why am I reporting on a film based on a board game? Simple. IGN gives you an unusual look into the thought process behind such development. Writer Frank Beddor tells IGN how he cracked the concept. "He wakes up in the morning, all groggy, and he goes out to buy a cup of coffee. He reaches into his pocket and all this Monopoly money falls out. He's embarrassed and apologizes, but the girl takes the money and gives him change. So he walks outside and where is he? He's in the middle of Monopoly City. And through circumstances, he ends up taking on the evil Parker Brothers in the game of Monopoly for real." It's a pretty good pitch, all things considered. Will it happen? Hard to tell. Beddor is off the project, but Ridley Scott liked the concept so much, he is still signed on to direct.

Release date: TBA

PRIEST

MTV News asked co-star Cam Gigandet about his character in the film. Amongst other things about Hicks, his character, he says, "I have an unbelievable knife; I have an unbelievable gun." Hick also has a motorcycle and "trying to become a man."

Release date: 2010

THE PROBLEM IS CHOICE

My local independent video store has that big "Matrix" Blu-ray set for rent. I never had the chance to dig into it before and haven't seen that third film since its release. It's hard to believe "The Matrix" was ten years ago. It also means we're about due for another major release that shifts things the way that movie did. It could even involve custom characters. If any of you discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of the Machines.
