Official Press Release

Shelly Bond, editor of VERTIGO titles including FABLES, 100%, AMERICAN CENTURY, DEATH: AT DEATH'S DOOR, BARNUM, and LUCIFER, and co-editor of THE SANDMAN: ENDLESS NIGHTS, has been named Group Editor - VERTIGO.

"Shelly has brought her pop culture sensibility, keen eye for talent, and shrewd editorial style to many books over the years," says Karen Berger, VP - Executive Editor, VERTIGO. "She brought Bill Willingham back to DC, and, as co-editor on ENDLESS NIGHTS, landed European superstar artists Milo Manara and Miguelanxo Prado for this prestigious project."

"I'm really lucky to have been a part of the VERTIGO imprint since its inception," Bond says. "I look forward to keeping the marketplace loaded with more groundbreaking VERTIGO comic books and graphic novels."

Bond first came to DC as an Assistant Editor in 1993, just as the VERTIGO line was being launched. Before arriving at DC, she was an editor at Comico: The Comic Company, a video/film editor, and a talent agent. Some of her notable projects at VERTIGO have included THE INVISIBLES, HOUSE OF SECRETS, DEADENDERS, TERMINAL CITY, SCENE OF THE CRIME, HEAVY LIQUID, GRIP, VERTIGO POP!: TOKYO and BANGKOK, as well as THE SANDMAN PRESENTS: THE THESSALIAD and PROPOSITION PLAYER.
