J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI is the featured Guest Speaker at the LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2009. JOE appears on stage at 2:00 P.M. to discuss his writing for such Marvel Comic Books as THOR, AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, FANTASTIC FOUR, THE TWELVE, and his joining DC Comics, writing THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD starting with issue#27. JOE is also a very busy screenwriter for Movies, writing last year's THE CHANGELING starring Angelina Jolie for which he received critical acclaim. JOE's latest screenplay is for NINJA ASSASSIN produced by the Wachowski Brothers (The Matrix, V for Vendetta) and opens in theaters in November. JOE is also known for creating the TV Series BABYLON 5. Find out what's in development from one of Comic Books most popular Writers.

CLAYTON CRAIN is the Artist for the new Marvel Comic Book X-FORCE/NEW MUTANTS: NECROSHA which starts an important storyline. CLAYTON's popular painted style of art has been featured in SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN, GHOST RIDER, and X-FORCE (regular series). CLAYTON is flying into Los Angeles for this Special Exclusive West Coast appearance to sign autographs all day.

The 40th Anniversary Film Screening of THE GREEN SLIME with stars ROBERT HORTON and LUCIANA PALUZZI appearing in person. THE GREEN SLIME is considered a Science Fiction cult classic for it's low budget Special Effects, over the top theme song, and it's not to be confused with a Michael Bay production. It also has a BATMAN connection. BILL FINGER worked with BOB KANE in 1939 creating BATMAN, giving him the name Bruce Wayne, developing the costume, the villains, Robin's origin, as well as writing the first BATMAN story in Detective Comics#27, his landmark first appearance. And BILL FINGER wrote the screenplay for several Movies, including THE GREEN SLIME. Director Kinji Fukasaku received critical acclaim in later years for another cult Movie, Battle Royale. THE GREEN SLIME will be shown on Film, not DVD, at 12:00 P.M. The Stars will appear on stage at 1:30 P.M. to discuss the making of THE GREEN SLIME, and will sign autographs from 11:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M. LUCIANA PALUZZI is known to James Bond fans as Fiona Volpe, the henchwoman to Largo in Thunderball. There's only one 40th Anniversary of THE GREEN SLIME, and it's here. There's no charge for THE GREEN SLIME screening, it's part of the regular admission.

The LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION also has a great Dealers Room that puts to shame some supposedly larger shows that charge three times the admission. Featured are Old and New Comic Books, Toys, Action Figures, DVD's, Trading Cards, Movie Memorabilia, and much more. The Event location is the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, 700 West 32nd Street, in Los Angeles, across the street from USC College. Admission is only $8.00, five years and under are free.
