TV Guide has confirmed an original member of the cast has been let go from the series. Proceed with caution as it is a rather large spoiler. I'll refrain from saying the castmember's name, but it backs up earlier claims of a permanent death for one of the principal characters on the series.

INCREDIBLE HULK 2
Sometimes I enjoy posting these sorts of items when they are the right combination of factor. Actor Edward Norton tells MTV News he's heard "nothing new" when asked about the future of the Hulk franchise. What makes this item fun is the video, in which Norton starts talking in Twitter-speak:

The Huffington Post talked to Michael Shanks about playing Hawkman in the upcoming JSA two-parter. The actor confirmed he is playing Carter Hall, archeologist, and not Katar Hol, Thanagarian space cop. He also says the role, so far, has consisted of costume fittings. "I have yet to shoot a frame of film on this episode. This is what I've been doing the most of, is going for fittings and you know, talking to the producers about the character and discussing the elements of the voices. But mostly it's been focused on the costume and the logistics of the costume. Again, it's a necessary thing. I really appreciate the reverence that these guys have."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Owen Wilson has been cast as the voice of Marmaduke. Turns out this project has been in the works for sometime. The film will see "a family named the Winslows who move from Kansas to Orange County with their dog Marmaduke, a slobbery pooch who creates chaos wherever he goes." The Great Dane will also "navigate a volatile Mutts vs. Pedigrees turf war, woo the purebred of his dreams and overcome a fall from grace." The film would appear to be a slight departure from the comic strip. A quick scan of few weeks of the comic does not see the title character talking.
Directed by Tom Dey, release date: June, 2010
Ian McKellan tells SciFi Wire he has finally read the script to the two-part epic in which a hobbit and a company of dwarves seek to reclaim a dwarf-hall from the last dragon in Middle Earth a number of years before the events of "The Lord of the Rings." McKellan says," I think the script, because I have read it, plays very much to Guillermo's strengths, as I've seen them."

MORE ON PHANTASM
So, despite my love of "Phantasm," I've never seen the sequels. Universal owns the second film and only recently made it available on DVD, so tonight, I'll finally continue the path of the Tall Man. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of Reggie Banister.
