Comics2Film/CBR News caught up with Dark

Horse chief and "Hellboy" producer Mike Richardson who recently

returned from the Prague set of the movie. The film, based on Mike Mignola's

comic and written and directed by Guillermo del Toro wraps shooting this month.

"' Hellboy' is looking spectacular," Richardson enthused. "We were moved

to memorial day, which means the studio has huge faith in the project. Everybody's jazzed about that movie."

Richardson also said that "Hellboy" has something that more recent

comic adaptations are lacking. "It's so much fun. I didn't think 'The Hulk' was much fun. I didn't think

'Daredevil' was fun. I thought 'Spider-Man' was spectacularly fun and it's because

[director Sam Raimi] so 'got

"That's the way Guillermo is with 'Hellboy.' He so 'gets it,'" the

producer continued. "As Mike says, you never

know what box office is gonna be on any movie, but it is impossible that anybody

could have made a better 'Hellboy' movie. Guillermo and I agree."

Richardson said he's not sure if attendees of this summer's Comic-Con

International: San Diego will get a preview of the movie. There is a sizzler

reel that's been shown at marketing fairs, but it's unclear whether the studio

will allow that to be seen at the con.

There will, however, be a new poster ready for the fans.

Steve Rude fans heading for Comic-Con

his proposed "Nexus" animated TV show. Rude has been developing the
