John Cusack is looking at a role in the film. At least, he thinks he might be. In an interview with io9, the actor says, "There was one or two that I heard of that sounded really cool. One of them was about, I think... it's a vampire and a killer, and they're on the road, and it's this really strange story. I thought that sounded pretty cool." After some discussion on whether or not it was "Preacher," Cusack says, "I'd say either the vampire or the priest. One of those two guys." The film is currently being preped for Sam Mendes to direct.

Back to workweek. I had a chance to play the Lego Rock Band over the weekend and it seems my friends enjoyed the Lego elements more than I did, but "The Final Countdown" can't come to regular Rock Band soon enough. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of the week to come.
