In another extract from an interview with MTV News, Ryan Reynolds mentions the film will have the origin story, but "it's not a labored origin story." As opposed to the "Batman Begins" model, where the movie's plot does not trully start until halfway through, Reynolds says, "The movie starts when it starts. We find out Hal is the guy fairly early on, and the adventure begins."

THE BLACK HOLE
According to Heat Vision, "Tron: Legacy" director Joseph Kosinski, producer Sean Bailey and screenwriter Travis Beacham have been tasked with remaking or re-imaging the late 70s Disney sci-fi freak out film. I remember having the odd toy and comics based on the original movie. The article states the project is "being labeled a reinvention of the 1979 sci-fi film" and "the take does involve grounding the story in the science of a black hole, much more so than in the original. Maximilian also would return." Maximilian was the killer robot henchmen of the Nemo-like villain in the original film.

Superhero Hype ran into Jeremy Renner, the actor now poised to play Hawkeye in the film. Renner says, "I haven't heard anything since I talked to [Marvel] three weeks ago." He goes on to speculate, "the last I knew is that they still have to find their director for 'The Avengers,' that's where he's really going to show up ... it's a big role so they didn't want to do that to the director, so I think they might wait. I know they're interested, I'm interested, so we'll see if it works out." He also mentions a modernized version Hawkeye's costume would be utilized ... but since that would be the call of the film's eventual director, Renner, if he gets the part could still end up in what he calls "the big weird costume."

According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, the show may get a tenth season after all. She writes, "I have it on good authority the CW most definitely wants a 10th season. 'Smallville' is kicking gluteus maximus in the ratings."

J. Michael Straczynski emailed IGN to let them know the movie is still in development, even if his script has been set aside. "When "FF2" didn't do as well as hoped for, that script was set aside, but that has NOTHING to do with the Silver Surfer script that is NOW under development at Fox with other folks. As far as I know, that is proceeding apace." Also, I'd like it to be known I've written enough articles about Straczynski that I no longer have to look up how to spell his name.

GHOST RIDER 2
Nicholas Cage was non-comital when MTV News asked him about his involvement with the sequel. With answers like, "You probably know more about it then I do," and "well I don't really know how to answer that," it would appear the certainty of his return to the franchise is up in the air. Meanwhile, go see "Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans." Cage is quite ... explosive in it.
