David Mack is the New York Times bestselling author and artist of the KABUKI graphic novels, the writer and artist of Marvel Comics' Daredevil, and the author and artist of the children's book "The Shy Creatures."

Mack's work has garnered numerous national and international award nominations including seven Eisner awards, four International Eagle Awards, and both the Harvey and Kirby Awards. He is one of the only creators to be listed in both the Top Ten Writers list and the Top Ten Artists list inWizard magazine.

KABUKI has earned Mack international acclaim for his innovative storytelling, painting techniques, and page design. The comic is available in seven different languages, in addition to well over a million copies of KABUKI comics, paperbacks, and hardcovers in print in the U.S. alone. Mack has toured and exhibited throughout Europe, Asia, and America. He was the first American to be nominated for Germany's prestigious Max-Und-Moritz award in the category of Best Imported Comic.

Mack has designed toys and packaging for companies in Hong Kong, created ad campaigns for Sakura art materials, painted Tori Amos for her RAINN benefit calendars, written and designed video games for director John Woo and Electronic Arts, created animation art for MTV, and illustrated jazz and rock albums for Japanese and American labels, as well as musicians such as Paul McCartney. In addition to working for 20th Century Fox as a writer on theKABUKI feature film, Mack's film credits include visual designer, creative consultant, and co-producer.
