First, Timothy Callahan gave "Hulk" #19 3.5 stars and said that the issue, which reunited the series' original creative team of Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness, "In the larger "Fall of the Hulks" context, this story might have some deeper meaning, and the ominous words between the characters might have more relevance, but as a single issue, it's pure spectacle. In a good way."

Doug Zawisza tackled "Incredible Hulk" #606, on the other hand, and gives it a 4-star rating saying "this is one of the best issues of any "Hulk" title I've read in quite some time," and that it's "is a visual spectacle thanks to... Paul Pelletier, Danny Miki, and Frank D'Armata."
