RED

Only a week into filming and we have pictures from the set, courtesy of The HSXDude. The photos show Bruce Willis and Mary Louise Parker roaming Toronto's Chinatown, stopping to play scenes, and I think one could be considered an off-camera shot. I know Toronto's Chinatown has covered for New York in films like "16 Blocks," but there's only so much one can get from some photos like these.

THE AVENGERS

Louis Leterrier -- he of the largest Kraken ever filmed -- tells MTV News the often rumored appearence by the Incredible Hulk in "The Avengers" is a bad call. "If Hulk is a villain, that's too simplistic," says Leterrirer. "What's great about Marvel is that it's never good guy and bad guy, hero and villain -- it's more complex than that ... Hulk could be in trouble and chased by Iron Man, no problem. But I don't think he would end up the villain, killing people and being villainous of his own free will." While Leterrier is not the director of "The Avengers," he's looking foward to the film. "The next step in superhero movies is the clash of cultures. That's what's going to be so fun."

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Director Edgar Wright spoke with MTV News about, amongst other things, his habit of showing the film in its rawer state to other directors. "I'm into little screenings for people. It's easy to show a screening to those in the industry, because they understand what an unfinished film looks like. So anyone who was swinging through town in London saw it, and then one night I was in Los Angeles, and I showed it to some other people. ... [Once] I think I watched it about seven times in one week. You learn as much from showing it to one person as you do [with] a test audience," says Wright.

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: Summer 2010

CONAN

Heat Vision is reporting actor Jason Momoa is in negotiations to play the famed Cimmerian. Momoa is best known as Ronon Dex on "Stargate Atlantis." I've never been able to get into the "Stargate" TV shows, so I can't really comment on the guy's acting. That said, it's nice to see the project ramping up. Meanwhile, Latino Review reports Mickey Rourke may appear as Conan's father Corin. Friend of mine who are more avid readers of Conan tell me the films reported revenge plot has nothing to do with any story written by Robert E. Howard. Maybe it's a Roy Thomas invention?

PRIEST

Director Scott Stewart spoke with Ain't It Cool News about the film and his current release, "Legion." Asked about the status of "Priest," Stewart responded, "We wrapped 'Priest' right before Thanksgiving. We're working on the director's cut right now; the visual f/x facilities are gearing up. It's a very different movie from 'Legion.' Whereas 'Legion' has a lot of fun and tries to not take itself too seriously, 'Priest' is a more somber movie. It's much more like 'The Searchers.'" He went on to refine that answer. "It's kind of an after-the-war movie. There will be a 2-D-animated prologue to the film, and I will announce shortly who's doing that; it's very exciting... the idea of R-rated 2-D animation to show us the war between man and vampire throughout history, and how that leads us up to the beginning of our movie. I'm really excited about that. It's really exciting to show people animation like that that, which they don't normally get to see in a big movie."

SPIDER-MAN BEGINS?

Clive Owen talked to the Coventry Telegraph about those Spider-Man rumors linking him to the role of Kraven the Hunter. "That's the first I've heard," he says. "My girls would like me to do it though." Now, I may have developed a blind-spot because Spider-Man rumors are as constant as rain now, but had Owen ever been that serious linked to Kraven or is it a casting speculation item gone out of control? Could it be the work of Mysterio?

WEEKEND GETAWAY

Cue The Postmarks and get me a Rainwater Martini, it's the weekend! I've actually been doing a lot behind the scenes this week, so I'm looking foward to sleeping in and watching plenty of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" on the Netflix. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, just plain weird, or spot Mysterio up to his usual hi-jinks, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of sleep.
