THOR

Comicus.it has an interview with actor Joseph Gatt about his role in the film. They discuss working with director Kenneth Branagh. "He, being an actor himself, really knows the right language to use to get what he needs from his actors. He never lets you forget that we are making a movie (with a minimum 3 cams on every shot it's difficult to anyway), but he directs us like we are performing on stage. He gives his actors the latitude to really go anywhere... as long as he gets what HE needs," says Gatt. Meanwhile, the Del Mar Times (via Superhero Hype) notes the film is in negotiations to film a scene involving six horses along the beach.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, release date: May 6th, 2011

GREEN LANTERN

Superhero Hype asked Peter Sarsgaard about the casting of Tim Robbins as his father in the film. "I think he looks at me like I'm this young guy that was in this movie. I think you're always that to someone. I look at him like he was the guy that gave me my first job and I have immense respect for him. He does not feel like an equal to me. He feels like a God. He's a lot taller than I am," says the actor. The article also mentions a word or two with actor Christophe Waltz about his role in "The Green Hornet," but it contains a massive enough spoiler for Superhero Hype to put a big warning around it. Proceed with care.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

THE WALKING DEAD

Big Shiny Robot has a number of casting scoops. While these are not definite names, they are said to be at the top of the list. According to the site, Jamie Bamber is in the lead running for Rick Grimes. They also mention actors Mark Pellegrino and Stuart Townsend as lead contenders for other roles.

Release date: TBA

KICK-ASS

Comicus.it has a breif interview with Deborah Twiss, who plays Miss Zane in the film. She describes the character as "a total nerdy lady with big glasses and frumpy clothes yet Dave fantasizes about her." You'll need to scroll a little bit to get to the English translation of the interview.

Starring Nicholas Cage, release date: April 16th, 2010

GHOST IN THE SHELL

Superhero Hype has a preview of an interview with screenwriter Laeta Kalogridis which will appear on Shocktillyoudrop tonight. The preview concerns Kalogridis's work on the American adaptation of "Ghost in the Shell." The writer says, "They contacted me about it when they found out that I was interested. I mean, there's just no other property quite like it. It could actually be three two-hour movies, which is what I would vote for, but it's the seminal cyberpunk text as something like 'Neuromancer.' I mean, it really just is, and there's nothing else like it."

Release date: TBA

THE HOBBIT

Heat Vision spoke with Mike Mignola about his work on the film. "I worked on the Hobbit for about a week and a half. It was really all the time I could spare. It was fun. But it was a week and a half. I felt like I spent more time in the air in the plane coming and going back than I did on the ground in N.Z.," says Mignola. Asked if there would be another Hellboy picture, the artist said, "If [Guillermo] calls me, I'm always happy to go."

Release date: 2012?

CLASH OF THE TITANS

Latino Review has a featurette on the film which features new footage, Liam Neeson talking about the gods and, of course, the Kraken.

Starring Sam Worthington, release date: April 2nd, 2010

PRESIDENT'S DAY SPECIAL

After a good time at the Eagle Rock Brewery and a few good hours with my Renegade playthrough on "Mass Effect," it's time to get back in the movie seat with a President's Day weekend roundup. While the town may be asleep, I'm not. Also, Olympic Curling begins at 9AM PT tomorrow! Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of a Curling overdose.
