SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

Just in case you didn't see it yesterday, here's the trailer for the film:

Looks great, don't it?

Starring Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, release date: August 13th 2010

KICK-ASS

Our old friend reports awareness of the film in the US is pretty low, which seems shocking considering how often we talk about it. He provides graphs and points to a certain demographic. " Right now, women over 25 are not interested in going to see 'Kick-Ass.' And may make their partner go to see 'Death At A Funeral' instead ... If I was in charge of US marketing I'd start going after the over-25 women right now. Certainly that demographic were laughing and enjoying the movie as much as anyone else in the screening that I attended --; it's possible that the marketing has not been addressing them, or has been turning them off." The real push for the film begins soon, but our old friend points out an interesting blind spot in the way the film has been marketed thus far.

Starring Nicholas Cage, release date: April 16th, 2010

THE LOSERS

Here at CBR, we have a number of interviews from our visit to the set of the film. We also have longer interviews with Zoe Saldana, Chris Evans, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan while in Puerto Rico where the film was shot. "From the get go, my agenda was to do as much of the action 'in camera' as possible," says director Sylvain White. "For me, when a character runs 100 yards, and he's got gear and guns and he runs out of breath -- I want to feel that. I want to see that. I want to know that it's hard for Cougar to take a sniper shot from 200 yards away. I never wanted to cheat that."

Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, release date: April 23rd, 2010

MARMADUKE

Yahoo! Movies has the trailer for the comic strip turned talking-dog picture:

Release date: TBA

TRON LEGACY

Reader Mike emailed and reminded me about something in that Alan Bradley interview I forgot to mention: Encom has a website. It's pretty slick and it looks like it will be the hub of the next promotion -- not unlike the "Flynn Lives" promotions last month. Sci Fi Wire points out Encom's announcement coincides with WonderCon in San Francisco next week. I'm still unsure if I'm going (though I do have a hotel room booked), but this might nudge me into it.

Starring Jeff Bridges, release date: December 17th, 2010

GREEN LANTERN

Comic Book Movie has been following the film's progress with rare dedication and have discovered a wealth of photos from Brazilian actress Marcela Duarte, who plays "Beautiful Girl" in the film.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON

Here at CBR, the cast of the film have their say. It was a pretty lively press conference, thanks to Craig Ferguson setting the mood. When his phone began setting off that awful electronic chirp in the conference room speakers, he shouted "It's the Tweeters! You people are nothing to me; only tweeting! You are the old way! Tweeting is the new way! So long, suckers!" My review of the film should be up shortly, as well.

Release date: Today!

BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD

The show returns with Kevin Conroy lending his voice to the Batman of Zurr En Arrh:

Airs: Tonight

WEEKEND GETAWAY

Well, after a lively week of movie news, I'm going to enjoy some sleep, a little "Just Cause 2" and maybe a nice meal. As I might find myself at WonderCon next weekend, rest is the best idea. Meanwhile, if any of you in the great, wide Internet discover something awesome, disheartening, or just plain weird, let us know! Take credit, come up with a clever nickname, or go anonymous. The choice is yours. Fresh rumors and movie news every weekday morning. I am Erik Amaya bracing for the future threat of the Streets of San Francisco.
