reports that comic scribe Steve Niles has sold the rights to yet another comic

property. Dimension Films has picked up rights to his upcoming IDW book

"Wake the Dead" after discovering the book at Comic-Con International.

Ted Adams, president of IDW Publishing will executive produce the movie along

with Niles.

Niles recently sold the rights to another IDW title, "30 Days of

Night," last year for a seven figure sum. More recently he set up his

"Criminal Macabre" book

The "Wake" deal also gives Dimension first look Niles' next IDW

title, "Remains."

chatted up up Jamie Kennedy about his work on the upcoming "Son of the

Mask"

"I'm not playing the Jim Carrey character, I'm playing a different

character. ... I play a father," Kennedy told MTV at the recent Teen Choice

Awards.

Kennedy is set to Tim Avery a cartoonist whose infant son comes into

possession of the mask of Loki. Alan Cumming on board to play Loki.

"Garfield" movie. The image apparently was included in promotional

materials distributed by Fox in the UK.
